About Sol Vibrations
Our sound is light, our light is sound.
Our mission
Sol Vibrations exists to put the power of music within reach of every child in Tulsa — regardless of their family’s income — and to carry that same music to the people our community too often forgets: elders in nursing homes and veterans in hospitals.
We offer free guitar and ukulele lessons to children in underserved communities. Instruments are provided at no cost. And as our students grow, they join us in bringing live, healing music to audiences who need it most — learning that their new gift is something worth sharing.

Our story
Sol Vibrations was founded by John and Jessica Ford — a professional musician and a career educator who share one conviction: music is medicine. They launched the organization with a simple but powerful ceremony on the Summer Solstice of 2025, dedicating their work to love, light, and transformation.
John’s own journey — from overcoming personal struggles with addiction to rediscovering music as medicine — fuels the heart of Sol Vibrations. Jessica’s fifteen-plus years of guiding students with patience, insight, and care shape how we teach. Together they built a place where every lesson, every song, and every visit carries the same intention: healing through sound.
